Who is TCM?

Tracey Corbin-Matchett

The short story:

I have a passion for people, events, writing and talking, in fact I have made a career out of it. After 20 years of working with agencies to create and host amazing events, draft strategic corporate communications and actively engage with stakeholders, I’ve stepped out on my own to deliver all that and more to you and your business through Tailored Communications Management (TCM).

I bring with me strong experience in managing and delivering projects, events, marketing and communications, grant administration, policy and programs to a suite of diverse sectors. I love networking and I’m known for “joining the dots” to make awesome things happen!   If you want the extended version, please keep reading or if you're keen to collaborate NOW, head on over to the other tabs to see what TCM can do for you.

The extended version:

I’ve been a lifelong advocate for those needing a stronger voice, after finishing my HSC, I completed a Bachelor of Arts – Welfare Studies (UWS) with a strong desire to work with the then Department of Housing, and so I did. I undertook a variety of roles, learning the ropes and much more, from both the families and policy makers I worked with. It was through my community engagement work on social housing estates in South Western Sydney that I was awarded the Elle Magazine, Elizabeth Arden Visible Difference Award: Community Service in 2000.

Moving up the ranks of community development, policy and project management roles, I then landed a position I coveted, State Manager of the Women’s Domestic Violence Court Assistance (now Advocacy) Program (WDVCAP) at Legal Aid NSW. Overseeing the multi-million-dollar statewide program, I lead policy and project teams to deliver services to women and children experiencing domestic and family violence and worked collaboratively with both government and community agencies to strengthen AVO legislation and policies and co-ordinated service delivery expansion projects with key community service providers. During this time, I completed a Diploma of Business in Frontline Management (UTS).

Capitalising on the conference coordination and community education work I undertook at Legal Aid, I moved onto work in Community Education and Assistance in Marketing and Communications - Small Business at the Australian Taxation Office. I loved working to deliver great events and put a friendly face to the organisation. A corporate restructure was the catalyst for a new role as Principal Project Officer with the State Government’s Millers Point Sales Strategy, where I was working between multiple stakeholders, in a sensitive and tactful way.  Eventually the bright lights of the film industry caught my eye.

I was soon working at Screen NSW in Stakeholder Relations and Industry Development to the film and television industry in NSW. I  flourished in this role, creating standout events for industry and delivering ground breaking projects to create change and increase diversity and greater inclusion of underrepresented groups in the screen sector, with a particular focus on Gender Equity and People with a Disability, through initiatives She Shoots and Screenability NSW. I managed key relationships with leading film festivals across the state, including the Sydney Film Festival, Lebanese Film Festival, Queer Screen and Tropfest to name a few. I co-ordinated the administration of the Industry and Audience Development Programs while overseeing the parliamentary aspects of the agency - lucky I love politics. I loved exercising my writing muscles creating original content for the agency's social media streams.

Corporate restructure take two, and here I am, delivering Tailored Communications Management! By now, you might be think this is all work, work, work. I’m happily married to my best friend Greg, and together we’re doing our darnedest to raise three diverse and dynamic kids, Aurora, Sage and Zahn. In my spare time I am a Director of Deaf Sports Australia and an Advisory Board Member at Bus Stop Films. As the mum of a hearing impaired child, I am driven to see equal access for deaf and hard of hearing people in all aspects of our communities. I've also appeared or really “mummed” in a few commercials, you can check out my stellar performances on the “TCM on TV” tab. I love all things sports, especially my Cronulla Sharks; politics (same, same really) Film and TV and I am staunchly passionate about gender equity and social justice. I am innovative, dynamic and known for being TCM-TCB. Tailored Communications Management – Taking Care of Business – Your Business. So head on over to the “TCM Services” tab and let’s see how we can work together.
